The grand tour of Europe. A Honeymoon. A trip without camping, sleeping on real beds. Tomorrow Sarah and I start our trip to Paris and Ireland. I plan on writing a few words about each day, and shooting a few rolls of film. Mostly black and white, I think the ratio is 30:1 with a few rolls of Fuji color thrown in.
My vision for the trip is to see some old world antiquity, meet people, shoot pictures in an increasingly obsolescent format - film and wetplate. If I'm lucky, I'll buy some lenses at the Bievres Photo Fair, but I'll enjoy it anyway. We will help Quinn shoot portraits at his booth.
Tomorrow at 4:00AM we head for the airport. God willing, we arrive 24 hours later at Heathrow.
